The mist output is adjustable from a barely visible gentle stream to a thick cloud. I use low at night and high during the day when the heat is running. Warm mist on high can raise my room temperature by a degree or two, which is nice in January.

Cool Mist Is Great for Summer, Warm for Winter
No white dust! My old ultrasonic humidifier left powder all over my furniture. This Levoit somehow doesn't do that even with tap water. I still use filtered water, but it's nice to have the option.

I've used expensive humidifiers from Canopy and Dyson, and this Levoit performs just as well for a fraction of the price. The warm mist is actually warmer than the Canopy, and the tank is twice as big.
