- Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor with 800-Watt Motor

I've been using this to make celery juice, and it works well. The extraction is decent, and the pulp comes out fairly dry. The cleanup is still a chore, but I've accepted that as part of the juicing process. If you're committed to juicing for health reasons, this machine will serve you well.
I use this juicer every morning for a ginger-turmeric shot, and it's been reliable. The small footprint fits on my counter without taking up too much space. It's easy to rinse out after a quick juice, which is key for my routine. If you're doing small, daily juices, this is a solid choice.
For the price, this is an unbeatable entry-level juicer. It's not perfect—the plastic feels a bit cheap, and it's noisy—but it makes fresh juice quickly and consistently. If you're on the fence about juicing and don't want to invest hundreds of dollars, start here. You can always upgrade later.
Let me start with the good: this thing is fast. I can make a 16oz glass of carrot-apple-ginger juice in under two minutes. The bad? Cleaning the stainless steel mesh strainer is a pain. You have to scrub it immediately, or the pulp dries into the tiny holes. The included brush helps, but it's still a 5-10 minute process every time.
The big mouth feature is not a gimmick—it actually fits whole apples and large carrots. That alone saves me a ton of time in the morning. However, I deducted a star because no juice cup is included. The spout is at an awkward height, so you need a short, wide cup to avoid splashing.
