- GCI Outdoor RoadTrip Rocker XL Portable Folding Camp Chair

No page linked.
Used this chair for a weekend of tailgating on asphalt. The rocking motion worked perfectly even on hard flat ground. The chair has a nice wide stance so it doesn't tip sideways when you lean to grab a drink. The cup holder is deep and held my 32-ounce tumbler securely. Several people in the parking lot asked where I got it. Now three of my friends have bought one.
Compared this to the cheaper Amazon knockoff rockers. The GCI is noticeably better. The spring mechanism is smoother, the frame is stiffer, and the fabric is higher quality. The XL size actually fits bigger people, unlike the knockoffs that claim XL but are still narrow. You can feel the engineering when you sit in it. Buy once, cry once.
Used this chair for a week of camping in the Smokies. We had rain, mud, rocky ground, and sloping campsites. The chair handled everything. The feet are wide and don't sink into soft ground. The rocking worked on every surface except deep mud (nothing works in deep mud). Cleaned up easily with a hose at the end of the week. Still looks brand new.
I take this chair to outdoor concerts all summer long. You can't bring tall chairs into most venues, but this one folds low enough to carry in. Once you're inside, it sets up in seconds. The rocking motion is so relaxing – I've almost fallen asleep during acoustic sets. The cup holder fits beer cans and water bottles perfectly. Worth the investment if you go to lots of shows.
My wife and I each got one for our RV. They pack down flat and store easily under the bed. Set up takes about two seconds – just unfold and go. The rocking mechanism is spring-loaded but not bouncy. It's a smooth, controlled rock like a real porch rocker. We use them for morning coffee outside the RV and evening campfires. Best camping purchase we've made.
