I bent the flex wand into an L-shape, an S-curve, and a hook over the last few months. The metal core inside holds its shape really well. The plastic coating hasn’t cracked or split like cheaper flexible wands I’ve owned.

I’ve bought long lighters from dollar stores and discount bins. They feel hollow and cheap. These have some weight to them. The trigger mechanism is metal inside, not all plastic. You can feel the quality when you hold them.

The flex wand is a game-changer for lighting hard-to-reach candles
The flex wand bent into a perfect 90-degree angle and stayed there. I used it to light a tall pillar candle that was buried inside a hurricane glass. No melted plastic, no burnt fingers. My regular Bic would have been useless.
