High quality hardwood. You can tell by the weight and density. It does not spark much when lighting. A very reliable fuel source.

Best Bang for Your Buck
This is the best lump charcoal for the money. It outperforms brands that cost twice as much. The bag is huge and will last me a while.

Best Charcoal for Smoking
I switched from my usual brand and this is superior. It gives a lovely hardwood flavor to chicken and burgers. The heat is steady and the smoke smells great.
