The screen looks great straight on but if you're at an angle, the brightness drops off significantly. Not a huge issue for a bedside clock but worth knowing.

Much better than the old Echo Show 5
I replaced my Echo Show 5 with this because I couldn't read the time at night. The Spot is so much better for my aging eyes. The display is crisp and the interface is simpler.

Why can't the clock stay big when music plays?
This drives me crazy. When the radio comes on in the morning, the clock shrinks to a tiny size to show album art. My 1970s clock radio didn't do that. Give us an option to keep the clock big.

No camera, but I don't need one anyway
I actually prefer that there's no camera. One less thing to worry about privacy-wise. Voice calls work fine without video.

Works perfectly with my smart lights
Connected to my Philips Hue lights instantly. Now I just say "Alexa good night" and everything shuts off. The touch controls on screen work smoothly too.
